Introducing CPSD, the new designation from ISM for supplier diversity professionals and supply management professionals who hold supplier diversity responsibilities.
The program launches in early 2011, according to ism.ws, but there will be pilot testing offered early this November from PMAB in Concord. To obtain the new Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity you must:
- Successfully pass Exam 1 of the Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®). This requirement is waived if the candidate holds a current Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
- Successfully pass the CPSD™ exam.
- Demonstrate three (3) years of professional supply management or supplier diversity experience (not necessarily full-time) with a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or five (5) years of professional experience (not necessarily full-time) if they do not hold a bachelor’s degree.
